Robert Ortner was born in New Jersey and grew up in New York City and Connecticut.

He’s spent over 45 years, performing, writing and recording in the Tri-State NYC Area, New England, South Florida and the Caribbean.

Primarily a self-taught musician has also studied music theory wtith renowned bassist and friend Tony Cimorosi

Robert plays electric and electric-upright bass, acoustic guitar's,

tabla drums, hand percussion & other related noise!! Logic based studio, MIDI and tech literate.

Writes, records & performs music in

various genres.

Preforms with various bands and musicians in the Tri State area.

I am always interested in meeting new musicians and different playing opportunities!
